Akalewa is a Hawaiian word for a movement in hula, meaning to sway the hips gracefully. This flower was swaying in the wind from side to side, like a graceful dancer, when I saw her. Luckily, I managed to capture her in a rare moment of calm.
About Jade Moon
I spent two decades in front of the camera as a TV reporter and anchor. It wasn't until I retired from news that I picked up a camera myself, and fell in love.
