May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii. I met some ladies from Wai'anae who had trekked to Kapi'olani Park to string plumeria lei for visitors and Kama'aina. These hands, weathered and swift in their task, captivated me.
About Jade Moon
I spent two decades in front of the camera as a TV reporter and anchor. It wasn't until I retired from news that I picked up a camera myself, and fell in love. Now, instead of reporting on the frightening, the frustrating and the tragic sides of life, I get to focus in on the beauty that surrounds me in Hawaii. Much of my photography centers on flowers in our tropical island paradise, which are plentiful, vibrant and popping with color. Lucky me.
